Welcome! Holy Protection Orthodox Church, in the Kansas City area, is a mission church of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, in the Mid-American Diocese. Our ruling hierarch is Archbishop Alypy of Chicago, assisted by Bishop Peter of Cleveland. Our priest is Father Zachary Rose.
Worship Services
We meet regularly for worship each weekend in the small chapel at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9100 Mission Road, in Prairie Village, Kansas (corner of 91st and Mission). We are very grateful for the wonderful people at LCR for their kindness and hospitality.
On Saturday evenings, Vigil is at 5 p.m. Confessions are heard during Vigil.
On Sunday mornings, Hours and Divine Liturgy begin at 9:30 a.m.
Following the Divine Liturgy, we share a light trapeza with fellowship for the adults and Sunday school for the children.
Services are mainly in English, with some Church Slavonic.
